Birch Island Foods is a budding seed set out to bring back the small grower, and to offer the experience of absolutely fresh organic produce picked the day before. We take small scale sustainable growing and mix it with our knowledge of edible flowers, wild greens, and an incredible selection of vegetable varieties from seed saved on the farm.
He’s been a volunteer on organic farms across the globe and at home in Canada. Devon brings with him a penchant for the off grid life, a DIY attitude and the belief that many small sustainable operations can have big impact on the future of our food and the planet.
She grew up on the range, and only knows 47% of the plants in the wilds around home by name, but an awful lot about planting tomatoes. Loves going to sleep to the sound of a thunderstorm, and rambling through the woods.
